Our story

 

     I've been working with Smoked Pork and Brisket for over 12 years, making a lot of mistakes along the way. Spending the past 12 years in North Carolina I was able to learn from some of the best smoke masters in the world. I felt confident that I'd found the right combination of flavors, smoke and moisture in the meat. Happy with the outcome but yet not willing to share with others until my youngest daughter Morgan wanted to earn some extra money.  She asked me if she could sell some of my Southern Barbecue at her lemonade stand. Of Course, not just an ordinary Lemonade stand...she had slushies, cookies, and BBQ sandwiches. Shocked, with the outcome...she walked in with $200 from selling every bit of the BBQ, WOW! 

J. Brian's Smokehouse was born, however not by me.  My wife and three children took the bull by the horns and said we were going to make this happen.

     We wanted to keep it more of family business and use family recipes passed down and offer new foods that we've created.  So we took from this and used the most influencial person in our families life to create the name for the business... "J. Brian's Smokehouse"  It was perfect.

     Have to be honest... we didn't do so hot on the first catering event we had but as time has gone on we have improved and provided some amazing food to many.

I have to say that so far starting J. Brian's Smokehouse was one of the best decions I've ever made.  

OUR STORY
Well let's just say it wasn't your average lemonade stand...
